The easiest way to make avocado oil

Description

Here’s the easiest avocado oil recipe you can make at home using heat extraction — simple ingredients, no special tools required.

🥑 Easiest Homemade Avocado Oil Recipe (Heat Method)
🧂 Ingredients:
5–10 ripe avocados (the more, the better the yield)
🛠️ Tools Needed:
Spoon & knife
Blender or fork (for mashing)
Large non-stick pan or skillet
Cheesecloth or clean kitchen towel
Bowl or container
Glass jar or bottle (for storing)
👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Avocados
    Cut each avocado in half.
Remove the pit and scoop out the flesh into a bowl.
  2. Make Avocado Paste
Use a blender or mash with a fork until smooth and creamy.
The smoother the paste, the better the oil release.
  3. Cook the Paste
Add the avocado paste to a large non-stick pan.
Cook over low to medium heat, stirring often.
    Cook for 30–45 minutes until:
The paste turns dark green or brown
Oil begins to separate from the pulp
  4. Cool the Paste
Remove from heat and let it cool for 10–15 minutes.
  5. Extract the Oil
Place cheesecloth or a clean towel over a bowl.
Spoon the paste into the cloth.
Squeeze and twist to extract as much oil as possible.
  6. Store the Oil
Pour the strained oil into a glass jar or bottle.
Store in a cool, dark place or refrigerate.
    Use within 2–3 months.
    ✅ Tips:
Use very ripe (but not rotten) avocados for best results.
This method gives a green-tinted, slightly nutty oil — great for cooking, skin, or hair use.
Yield is small: ~1–2 tablespoons of oil per 5 avocados.
