Haunting footage captures the moment a 37-year-old woman was shot dead by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.
Protests have broken out in Minneapolis overnight after a woman’s life was taken by a US immigration officer.
Footage of the harrowing ordeal has since circulated on social media, capturing the very moment her life was ended by the official.
Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration in the US

As part of the White House’s crackdown on illegal immigration in the US, Minneapolis is just one of the many cities that President Donald Trump has deployed hundreds of ICE agents to.
The Trump administration deployed a total of 2,000 federal agents to the area in recent weeks, but Mayor Jacob Frey has argued that they are not working to make the city a safer place – indeed, quite the opposite.
In a statement, the mayor said: “They’re ripping families apart, they’re sowing chaos in our streets.”
The Trump administration has deployed ICE agents to cities nationwide, resulting in thousands of arrests as part of what officials describe as an effort to combat crime and target immigrants who entered the country illegally.
Who was the woman shot by ICE?

The 37-year-old who was shot dead on January 7 while driving away from US immigration officers has been identified as Renee Nicole Good.
The US citizen is being remembered as a loving mother and partner, whose family have been left completely shocked by the circumstances surrounding her death.
The shooting took place on a street that was covered in snow, and an ICE vehicle had reportedly gotten stuck.
According to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, passersby were ‘harassing them,’ and it was alleged that victim Good used her vehicle in an attempt to run over an officer over.
She further alleged that the federal agent fired ‘defensive shots’ and was himself injured.
President Trump has released a statement in response to the tragic event.
President Donald Trump responds

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “It is a horrible thing to watch.
“The woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, wilfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self-defence.”
Blaming the ‘radical left’ for the incident, he added: “The situation is being studied in its entirety, but the reason these incidents are happening is because the radical left is threatening, assaulting, and targeting our Law Enforcement Officers and ICE agents on a daily basis.”
The President continued: “They are just trying to do the job of MAKING AMERICA SAFE.
“We need to stand by and protect our law enforcement officers from this radical left movement of violence and hate.”
In a different account of what happened on the street, Minneapolis police chief Brian O’Hara said the driver in her vehicle was blocking the roadway.
He alleged that as Good was approached on foot by a federal law enforcement officer, she began to drive off.
Victim’s family issues a statement
Speaking about her daughter with the Minnesota Star Tribune, the victim’s mother, Donna Ganger, described her as ‘one of the kindest people I’ve ever known.’
She added: “She was extremely compassionate.
“Renee’s taken care of people all her life.
“She was loving, forgiving and affectionate. She was an amazing human being.”
The 37-year-old was a mother of three children, including a six-year-old whose father died in 2023.
Eyewitnesses describe the harrowing ordeal

In heartbreaking footage captured by eyewitnesses, her harrowing final moments were revealed.
Onlooker Emily Heller told CNN reporters exactly what she saw.
The eyewitness explained hearing ICE agents shouting at the woman, trying to open her card door.
The victim swiftly put her car into reverse, and began pulling away from the situation.
Speaking to the US publication, she said: “An ICE agent stepped in front of her vehicle and said, ‘Stop!’ and then – I mean, she was already moving – and then, point blank, shot her through her windshield in the face.”
Following the two gunshots, the car lost control, and was seen crashing into a parked vehicle nearby on the street.
Homeland Security Secretary Noem noted that ICE operations in the city would continue to go ahead, and that the FBI would fully investigate the deadly inciden
