 After a brief relative improvement, the weather over Bulgaria will once again begin to deteriorate.

 The reason is the passage of a cold atmospheric front on Friday , which will mark the beginning of a more dynamic and rainy period, Meteo Balkans reported.

A cold front will move across the country from west to east on Friday . It will bring rain, initially in the western regions, and later in the central and eastern parts of the country. Temperatures will gradually begin to drop , and the wind will shift from the northwest, bringing colder air.

A significant factor in the development of the situation will be a powerful anticyclone located over Ukraine . Its influence will block the rapid withdrawal of the frontal system to the east and create conditions for the precipitation zone to station over the country.

This means longer and in places more intense precipitation . A colder air mass will be carried into the lower layers of the atmosphere and rain in Central Northern Bulgaria will turn into snow .

If the patterns persist, new snow cover may form in parts of the country , especially where precipitation is more prolonged. The combination of a stationary precipitation zone and an influx of cold air creates the prerequisites for a complicated meteorological situation .
