The World Health Organization will include popular meat products on the list of potential carcinogens, The Daily Mail reported.

The list of potential carcinogens is updated daily. The reasons why meat products are on this list, according to WHO experts, are related to the increased risk of developing bowel cancer associated with the consumption of sausages and canned meat.

WHO experts point out that eating 50g of processed meat per day increases the risk of developing bowel cancer from 6% to 7%.

This means that the risk actually increased significantly. So eating processed meat every day makes you more likely to develop bowel cancer, Trud writes.
