First, take a frying pan suitable for a grill, fill it with water, and place it on the stove. Add two dishwasher tablets to the water. Bring the water to a boil, then place a rack in the pan and cook for about half an hour.
After removing the grate from the hot water, we immediately start cleaning it – any available means are suitable for this purpose, e.g. a sponge or a brush.
The hot water and tablet ingredients will soften the fat and remove it effortlessly. Any remaining hard carbon deposits can be removed with a knife.
This way I clean half of the grate, then turn it over, put the dirty part back in the pan and repeat all the steps described above.A thick layer of carbon deposits gradually forms on the grate of a gas stove, which is impossible to remove with conventional methods. To keep my kitchen tidy, I've been using a single product for several years now that allows me to quickly remove soot and grease. I have a cast iron grate, but this method also works for other metals.
