I found strange little balls in the egg – it turned out they weren't parasites, but something completely different

Today, as usual, we visited our favorite supermarket, where we buy everything for the family. They always have fresh produce and so far there have been no complaints. We bought ten eggs and nothing foreshadowed any trouble. At home, when I started making breakfast, I broke one or two eggs and noticed something strange in them.

There were small, slippery white balls that looked like slime or even insect eggs. I was momentarily startled — I thought maybe there were larvae or parasites in the egg. I looked up information on the internet and was surprised/shocked by the truth.

It turned out that these are calcium deposits, which are actually the same material that the egg shell is made of. Such formations can occur as a result of the specifics of the hen's diet or some minor physiological problem in her. They look scary, but they are completely safe, as long as there is no infection.

Although this is not dangerous and they are not parasites, consuming them is unpleasant in terms of both the feel and appearance. We decided that from now on we will check the eggs more carefully before buying them and are considering changing the brand, although these findings are not dangerous to health.
