How to prepare Ribs en Papillote with Honey and Mustard Sauce

If you're looking for tender, juicy ribs with a sweet and spicy kick, this recipe is for you. Cooked en papillote, the ribs sizzle in their own juices, resulting in an incredibly tender texture. The honey and mustard blend provides a perfect contrast between sweetness and tang, sure to delight any palate. Get ready for a feast that will leave everyone wanting more!

Place the ribs on a large sheet of aluminum foil. Add salt and pepper to taste. Wrap each rib, making a sealed packet (papillote).

Preheat the oven to 160°C. Place the packets on a baking tray and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

In a bowl, mix the honey, Dijon mustard and wholegrain mustard until you get a smooth sauce.

Remove the ribs from the parchment paper and place them on a baking tray. Generously brush one side of the ribs with the prepared sauce. Increase the oven temperature to 200°C (390°F) and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the ribs, turn them over, brush them with more sauce, and bake for another 15 minutes.

For a more intense flavor, repeat the brushing process several times during baking. Once golden brown, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

If you prefer a more intense flavor, use English or German mustard and adjust the proportions to your liking. Serve these ribs with a fresh salad, baked potatoes, or delicious mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
